Bundoran Golf Club situated close to the coastal town of Bundoran is considered by many to be the hidden gem of North West Donegal. Presenting a challenging 18 hole 5688 meters Par 70 links, the course sweeps along the rugged and picturesque Donegal Bay coastline with a mixture of dunes and undulating terrain. With endless views of the Atlantic Ocean to the West and the magnificent Dartry Mountains to the East, you are blessed with 360 degree superb panoramic views no matter what hole you are playing.
The course is tight and testing in areas, especially the blind drives required when teeing off over the hills on 8th, 9th & 10th. The 14th is also a challenge which swings left over the hill. When the wind is up, good links players will keep the ball low running, and also attempt to avoid the traps around the greens.
The Clubhouse at Bundoran plays host to a number of facilities to include the Pro Shop, Trolley & Buggy Rental, and Changing Rooms & Showers for both Ladies & Gents. There is also a Practice Fairway & Practice Putting Green. The Clubhouse is situated at the side of the ninth tee, which makes it ideal for golfers to pop into the shop for refreshments at the half-way mark!
Upstairs there is the 19th Hole, where in comfortable surroundings overlooking the 18th Green, you can enjoy tea, coffee, sandwiches & a full bar, as well as Sky television & a snooker table. The clubhouse was extensively refurbished in 2010. Member and visitors can enjoy fantastic views of the golf course while relaxing on the balcony.
