From the beginner to the more experienced golfer, this masterful Christy O'Connor design will remind you of the reason you first swung a golf club. Like a fine wine, this lush championship parkland golf course has matured beautifully with age, with rich surrounds, mature trees and playing surfaces unrivalled for their consistency and quality.
Located only one hour from Dublin, Kilkenny, Waterford and Wexford in the Southeast, and with stunning views of the Carlow Mountains, this traditional Irish parkland golf course will remind you of the relaxing side of life.
There is plenty to challenge all types of golfers on the front nine holes, with numerous small hills, bushes and small trees to catch you out before the turn. The Par 4 3rd is a tough one with water lurking as danger and a tiered green.
The back nine holes are more natural and relaxed than the front nine. The 11th is known to be one of this courses signature holes, but the Par 4 13th and the following 14th are magnificent. This leaves a nice flow of the remaining holes to the finish. A worthwhile visit on any golfing tour.
