Royal Troon Golf Club - Old Links
Whenever you arrive at Royal Troon Golf Club, you know you are in a special place. Founded in 1878, the Old Links lays at the heart of the
Ayrshire Coast in South West Scotland.
In 2016 the Royal Troon Golf Club Old Course will have hosted The Open Championship no less than 9 times, making it a regular feature on the
rota and known well to Golfers all around the world.
The links is a classic 9 holes out and 9 holes back with the first 6 holes hugging the coastline. It is on these first nine holes that you
should attempt to score well, as once you make the turn at the far end of the course, you will face the prevailing winds, which if they are
up, will certainly give you something to think about with each and every shot.
A number of changes and improvements in recent times to cope with the demands of the game of golf hasn't altered the course much, but if you
haven't played here for a while, we urge you to make a return visit with us.
Prestwick Golf Club - Old Links, the birthplace of The Open Championship is located across the fence from Royal Troon making these two courses
a back-2-back visitation. With the Troon Ferry Terminal which takes you to Larne, Northern Ireland only a few minutes from the course, combining
both Ireland and Scotland into a golf trip is very easy indeed, and we will create the perfect package for you.
